God’s word is very clear about eternal life and how to know for sure that you have it. I John 5:13 says, “…ye may know that ye have eternal life…”
1. Realize that you are a sinner.
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

2. Understand that there is a penalty that must be paid for sin.
The wages of sin is death… And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:14

3. Recognize that you cannot pay that debt yourself, and believe that Jesus died on a cross and shed his blood to pay that debt for you.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us… For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Romans 5:8; John 3:16

4. Trust Jesus, who died, and three days later rose from the dead, to cleanse you from your sin and take you to heaven when you die.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved… Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved… Romans 10:13; Acts 16:31

If you understand these things and would like to be saved, here is a simple guide to help you pray and receive Christ as Savior. Believing these things in your heart, say:

Dear God, I realize that I am a sinner and deserve to spend eternity in hell for my sins. I believe that Jesus died in my place on the cross. The best I know how, I repent of my sins and trust Jesus today to be my personal Savior. Thank you for dying for me, Jesus. Amen
